Navis Foundation
Building a Purpose-Driven Brand System for Organizational Growth
THE CHALLENGE
Navis Foundation required a creative approach capable of translating its mission into a clear, credible, and scalable brand presence. The opportunity extended beyond visual design: the organization needed a cohesive communications framework that could strengthen recognition, clarify its story, and support engagement across audiences and organizational touchpoints.
The creative challenge was therefore larger than building visibility for a nonprofit.
It was about making the realities of pediatric cancer understandable, emotionally resonant, and actionable for the public—while connecting awareness to research funding and meaningful support for children and survivors.
I approached the engagement from an executive creative direction perspective—starting with the organization's objectives rather than individual design deliverables.
Social Campaign
A large part of the social media campaign was the focus on the children of Navis, which gave a humanized feel to the series and built a nice following, with Instagram followers increasing over 65% inside of a year since its start.
The other side of the organization’s focus was the annual fundraising golf outing, which also expanded to a tennis outing as well. These two events framed the year nicely, one occurring in the spring, one in the fall, to allow an annual event cycle and grew over time.
The foundation reports that its first three events generated more than $300,000 for pediatric cancer research, while its current reported total has surpassed $425,000 over four years. Its 2026 golf outing alone raised more than $125,000.
This demonstrates the potential of an integrated creative system: awareness does not exist separately from fundraising.
Website Design
Built entirely in Squarespace, the Navis Foundation website brings strong visual cues to CTAs centered around the fundraising and donation initiatives.
The Impact
The resulting digital brand created a cohesive
public-facing platform for communicating the Navis Foundation’s mission and expanding its fundraising and awareness initiatives.
The organization has reported $425K+ raised for pediatric cancer research, providing a tangible impact story that the digital experience could communicate to donors and partners.
KEY INSIGHTS
Directed the end-to-end brand and website experience, creating a cohesive visual identity and digital ecosystem supporting $425K+ in pediatric cancer research funding.
Translated complex pediatric cancer research, survivorship, and funding disparities into accessible, mission-driven storytelling, expanding public awareness and donor engagement.
Architected a conversion-focused website experience connecting research, donations, sponsorships, events, and survivor resources across a unified audience journey.
Built a scalable brand system and digital foundation supporting fundraising growth, strategic partnerships, and the Foundation’s expansion from its 2023 launch into a multi-program nonprofit platform.
The creative direction was designed to help audiences understand that pediatric cancer is not simply a smaller version of adult cancer.
I directed the holistic brand and digital experience for the Navis Foundation, translating a deeply personal pediatric cancer mission into a credible, emotionally resonant, and action-oriented public-facing brand.
This led the direction across the website, visual identity, messaging architecture, fundraising communications, and digital storytelling to position the foundation as a growing philanthropic organization capable of connecting donors, sponsors, families, and research partners around a unified mission.
The Navis Foundation's own story reinforces this broader perspective: its mission has evolved beyond survival to helping children thrive after treatment, including through survivorship, wellness, physical activity, and opportunities to reclaim childhood.
